PRX-T33 contains 33% TCA; a potent acid that is well known for its anti-ageing benefits. Traditional TCA peels work on upper layers of the skin, cause extensive downtime and peeling, however the PRX formulation targets the dermis - revitalising deeper layers without the shedding.
Kojic acid inhibits the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin colour and can therefore help to lighten dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and even out skin tone. Kojic acid also has antioxidant effects, which helps to protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
Hydrogen Peroxide acts as an antiseptic to stop the growth of microbes on the skin, whilst delivering oxygen to skin cells, which promotes skin regeneration and repair.

Suitability
The PRX treatment is suitable for all, asides irritated skin, allergies to any of the components of the peel, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
It is very important that you avoid using retinoids (vitamin A) and all exfoliating acids for 5 days prior to your treatment. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend stopping these products 7 days pre-treatment. It is also important to avoid intense sun exposure for 2 weeks pre-treatment, as well as any other skin, beauty or aesthetic treatments in the two weeks before prior.
downtime
In most cases there is zero downtime/recovery and you will be advised on aftercare to follow. Results are immediate and you'll leave with rejuvenated, fresh glowing skin.
In some rare cases, minor flaking can occur. This may be from day 3/4 onwards post-treatment.
TREATMENT FREQUENCY
For the best results, a series of 5-6 treatments at weekly intervals is recommended.
Thereafter, the treatment can be scheduled whenever maintenance is required, or even as a pre-event 'red carpet' facial.
