BLEMISH REMOVAL
PLASMA TREATMENTS
Plasma Sublimation is a highly effective method for the removal of moles, skin tags and other benign lesions.
This advanced procedure uses a precise arc of plasma energy to safely and quickly evaporate unwanted skin growths with minimal discomfort and downtime.
WHAT IS PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
Plasma blemish removal is a non-invasive procedure that uses ionised gas (plasma) to create a controlled micro-injury on the skin’s surface.
This causes immediate tissue contraction and stimulates collagen while precisely removing skin tags, moles, warts, DPN and other benign skin lesions, while preserving the surrounding healthy tissue.
It is an ideal solution for clients seeking a safe, low-downtime alternative to surgical excision.
SKIN CONCERNS
cosmetic skin BLEMISH removal
DERMATOSIS PAPULOSA NIGRA (DPN)
Common in darker skin types, these small dark bumps often appear on the face and neck. A low-trauma plasma technique allows for precise, scar-minimising removal.
SCAR SMOOTHING
Using precise plasma technology, we can help reduce the appearance of small scars by resurfacing the skin and stimulating natural collagen renewal.
XANTHELASMA
Yellow cholesterol deposits that develop around the eyes. These are harmless but often treated for aesthetic reasons.
PIGMENTED LESIONS: SOLAR LENTIGINES
Often referred to as sun spots or age spots, these flat brown marks appear on sun-exposed skin. They’re completely harmless and respond well to plasma treatment.
SEBORRHOEIC KERATOSES
Also known as age warts, these waxy or crusty patches can vary in colour and texture. They’re completely benign and commonly treated for cosmetic reasons.
SYRINGOMAS
Tiny, flesh-coloured bumps usually found around the eyes or cheeks. These are overgrowths from the sweat glands and are common in women - particularly those with oily skin.
MILIA
Small, white bumps that sit just beneath the skin’s surface. These keratin-filled cysts are common around the eyes and cheeks and are safely removed using a gentle technique.
SEBACEOUS HYPERPLASIA
These small, yellowish bumps often appear on the face due to enlarged oil glands. While harmless, they can be removed for smoother skin.
CHERRY ANGIOMAS
Small, bright red spots caused by overgrowth of blood vessels. These are completely benign and very common, especially with age.
SKIN TAGS
Soft, skin-coloured growths that appear in areas of friction like the neck, underarms or eyelids. They are harmless and can be removed quickly and comfortably.
FRECKLES
Sun-induced flat brown spots, most common on the face, shoulders, and arms. While harmless, some clients choose to lighten or remove them for a clearer complexion.
MOLES / BENIGN NAEVI
Non-cancerous pigmented lesions that may be flat or raised. For mole removal, prior dermatoscopy or prior medical assessment may be required prior to removal.
TEXTURAL IRREGULARITIES
Small bumps, lumps or uneven patches of skin that affect the skin’s smoothness. Plasma can help refine texture and improve the appearance of the skin.
WARTS
Warts are rough, raised skin growths caused by the HPV virus. They can appear anywhere on the body and are often treated for comfort or cosmetic improvement.
Common, Flat and Filiform warts can be treated successfully.
EPIDERMAL NAEVI
Flat or raised patches of thickened skin, usually present from childhood. These harmless marks can become more prominent over time and may be removed for cosmetic reasons.
FIBROMAS
Soft, benign skin growths that often appear on the neck, armpits or body folds. They are completely harmless but can be easily removed if they cause irritation or affect your confidence.
LESION SCREENING
For the safe removal of moles or any suspicious skin lesions, a professional assessment is essential to confirm benign. This can be provided through your own GP, or in-clinic, where your skin lesion will be assessed by a UK-based service offering rapid dermatologist-led mole checks.

TREATMENT INFORMATION
In most cases, no further treatment is needed and a blemish can be removed in one sitting. In rare cases, further treatment may be required - typically if the blemish is large.
Results can be seen immediately, however final results are seen within 4-6 weeks as the skin heals.
Once a blemish such as a skin tag has been removed, this will not return. However, this treatment does not prevent new skin tags from forming.
Pigmented lesions such as sun spots can be removed from the upper layers of the skin. If there is untreated pigmentation in deeper layers, this can reappear over time, especially with prolonged sun exposure, therefore it is key to follow skincare advice.
A 'tingly' sensation may be observed. Topical anaesthetic is typically applied before treatment to reduce any discomfort.
Plasma removal of benign lesions is safe for all skin types.
Treatment is not suitable for those in:
- A pacemaker
- Holter ECG meter
- Other implanted electrical device
- Epilepsy
- Pregnancy
- Metal implants in the treated area
- Skin diseases, skin inflammations
- Acute inflammatory disease
- Oncological disease
- Any poorly managed disease
Please note we cannot treat any intimate areas and you should consult with your GP.
- Mild to moderate redness and swelling around the treated area is normal and usually settles within a few days.
- Treated skin can feel tender or sensitive for up to 1–2 weeks as it heals.
- Tiny brown or black dots (carbon crusts) form where the plasma touches the skin and will naturally flake off in 5–10 days.
- There is a risk of temporary or permanent changes in skin colour, especially in darker skin tones. This can include hyperpigmentation (darkening) or hypopigmentation (lightening), without the correct pre- and post- aftercare. Therefore it is important to book a consultation prior to treatment.
- Although rare, if aftercare instructions aren’t followed properly, there’s a risk of infection.
- Very rarely, improper treatment or picking at scabs can lead to scarring.
Following treatment, there may be visible crusts in the treatment area. These crusts take 7-10 days to fall off, revealing new skin. This newly exposed skin may appear lighter in colour and will naturally settle to your natural skin tone, within 4-6 weeks.
It is important to avoid picking any crusts, and allowing the skin to heal naturally. This reduces the risk of any scarring.
Once the crusting has naturally shed, it is important to continue (re-)application of SPF50+ sunscreen daily, reapplying during the day.
Avoid any non-invasive or heat-based treatments (such as radiofrequency, laser peels, and microneedling) on the treated area for at least 6 weeks to allow proper healing.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and sunbeds for up to 12 weeks to reduce the risk of irritation and pigmentation changes.
Refrain from other aesthetic or surgical treatments on the same area during healing: wait 8-12 weeks before dermal fillers and at least 3 weeks before neurotoxin treatments.
